JOB TITLE:               CLINICIAN II, JAIL BASED

WORK SITE:             Western Tidewater Regional Jail, Suffolk

                                   

                                   

WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday, Flex Schedule

                                                May include evenings

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Provide mental health and substance abuse services to include crisis intervention, assessment, case management and individual family and group therapy.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Provide mental health and substance abuse services including voluntary/involuntary assessments; entry level consumer assessments including determination of initial service track for priority populations; case management services to consumers admitted under temporary detention orders or rapid stabilization; mental health and substance abuse consultation to other agencies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling; one year clinical experience in a mental health/substance abuse facility or similar setting, two or more years, preferred; Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), preferred; availability of personal transportation for on-the-job use as needed.
