GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provide children
and adolescents with the necessary therapeutic behavioral support, to assist
them in increasing functional life skills and to deter behaviors that could
cause an out of home placement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Serves as a member of the
Therapeutic Day Treatment team together with the teacher, school administrators
and parent/legal guardian. Responsible
for performing clinical duties encompassing mental health screenings,
assessments, maintenance of consumer charts, and individual, family and group
therapy in a Therapeutic Day Treatment setting to children and adolescents who
are experiencing one or more major life impairments and/or are at risk of
out-of-home placement.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology,
Counseling, or a combination of education and work experience, which provides
the equivalent; three (3) years clinical experience in a community mental
health/substance abuse center or similar setting; valid Driver’s License with
acceptable DMV record at the time of employment and continuously, thereafter;
availability of personal transportation for on-the-job use as needed.
