GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Supervise and provide direct care to mentally challenged adults. Duties will include food preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation of residents. Applicants should have an understanding of the dynamics and demands of residential care, including daily living skills, behavior management, role modeling, working with team model and documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide direct care services to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in residential facilities to include active participation in developing, implementing and documenting consumer’s Individualized Program Plans. Evaluate consumer progress and assist with utilization of community resources. Supervise consumers in housekeeping and food service activities. The incumbent is responsible for accurate, consistent, and timely record keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS in a Human Services field; two years direct care experience in a Intellectual Disabilities residential setting, must be a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP); valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record.
