WORK SITE:            Suffolk, Virginia

 

WORK HOURS:       40 Hours

                                    Schedule requires evenings and weekends.

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Provide crisis intervention, train-

ing and supervisory services. Provide emergency case management, and linkage/referrals to community agencies.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Responsible for providing orientation training to new staff. Assist the supervisor in developing and implementing the agency disaster plan. Provide emergency mental health and substance abuse services including voluntary/involuntary assessment; entry level consumer assessments including determination of initial service track for priority populations; emergency case management services to consumers admitted under temporary detention orders or rapid stabilization; mental health and substance abuse consultation to other agencies; periodic on-going individual counseling or emergency services as necessary.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling; three (3) year clinical work experience in a mental health/substance abuse facility or similar setting; valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record.  LCSW or LPC licensure preferred.
