JOB TITLE:               NURSING SERVICES COORDINATORS

                                    Mental Health/Substance Abuse/Mental Retardation

WORK HOURS:       8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday

 

WORK SITE: Suffolk Services Center

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Coordinate all medical services for mental health, substance abuse and mental retardation programs to meet compliance with policies/procedures/regulations. Assist with program development, implementation and review. Provide training and direct supervision to nursing/medical staff. Responsible for providing oversight to activities of the Medical Maintenance Program.  Provide crisis intervention/emergency services as needed.   

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s/Associates Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Licensure as a Registered Nurse ; a minimum of three years clinical experience in a community program or similar setting; a minimum of one year work experience as a coordinator or supervisor in a MH, MR or SA environment.
