Western Tidewater Community Services Board values its employees and recognizes that consumer care is enhanced when employees are adequately trained and educated.  To ensure that employees are providing quality behavioral healthcare services and are knowledgable about state regulations, agency policies and procedures and health and safety, Western Tidewater CSB requires all employees to complete training that includes but is not limited to:

  • Reporting Human Rights Violations
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • CPR
  • First Aid
  • Medication Management
  • Consumer Abuse. Definition and Recognition
  • Safe Driving/Driver Safety
  • Fire Safety
  • TB Screening
  • Behavioral Intervention

In addition to training, Western Tidewater Community Services Board requires that all Clinical services are provided by Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) or Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP), licensed staff or master's level staff under supervision.
