We are seeking PRN (as needed) Program Technicians at one of our Suffolk, VA locations for the following program:

- Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD) Day Support - Pathways


General Responsibilities for Program Technician:

  • Implement individualized services plans; both one-to-one and small group instruction, including active treatment in the areas of self-help, community living, motor, communication, and prevocational skills
  •  Assist in planning for community access activities for the assigned program
  • Ensure behavioral support plans are implemented consistently in accordance with written guidelines
  • Supporting individuals with personal care activities, feeding, monitoring health status, assisting with toileting and other activities of daily living (ADL’s)
  • Operate mechanical lifts, manipulating and pushing wheelchairs, physically guiding physically disabled and visually impaired consumers while ambulating, positioning, and lifting and support with OT/PT therapies
  • Utilize manual communication and other alternative communication systems with nonverbal and/or language-delayed consumers.


Qualifications and Skills for Program Technician:

  • High School diploma or GED Certificate
  • Possession of a valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record
  • One (1) year of direct care service in an Developmentally Disabled setting
  • Food Handlers Certification
