MSSW, Supervisee in Social Work

SMVF

I earned my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2023 and my Bachelor of Social Work from Lipscomb University in 2022. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and persons with a military affiliation. I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, self-esteem issues, trauma, behavioral management, life transitions, and substance use issues. I have worked in various settings (detoxification/residential facilities, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs) with persons who were experiencing adversities in life due to their substance usage.

I utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to address problematic behaviors, trauma symptoms, and other mental health concerns based on the individual needs of each client.

As a U.S. Navy Veteran, I understand and enjoy the unique challenges and strengths of working with Veterans and service members transitioning to civilian life. I am passionate about giving back to this community.
