Drew Dent

MSED, Resident in Counseling

I am passionate about promoting self-advocacy and overall well-being in individuals who have experienced family and relationship trauma among other concerns. I enjoy promoting self-advocacy and well-being by using psychoeducation, self-compassion, identification of strengths, development of healthy boundaries, problem-solving skills, and assertiveness training.

I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree of Science in Psychology. In 2023 I graduated with a master’s degree of Science in Education, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my time in the mental health field, I have worked with a variety of populations from the age of 4 and those into late adulthood. I have worked with many individuals experiencing a wide range of diagnosis including, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, ADHD, PTSD and Schizophrenia. I find interest in all of these areas.

I enjoy helping clients find their inner strengths and voice through promotion of advocation skills and support for a healthier life experience.
