Local Ways to Hunt for Jobs That Are Not Just Online

Apr 22, 2024 | Community Resources

Forward, Together with western tidewater community services board

Most people job hunt these days via nationwide online job posting boards like Indeed.com, but that doesn’t mean that’s the only or best way to find the job you’re looking for. If you prefer a more personal approach, here are some local options that can get you connected with employers who are ready to hire right here in your own community.

4 Local Ways To Hunt for Jobs in the Western Tidewater Region of Virginia

1. Signing up for Job Alerts

The best way to always be in the know about available jobs in your area is to sign up for job alerts. You can sign up for these alerts through a job posting website, a staffing agency, or directly through the company you’re interested in working for. At Western Tidewater Community Services Board, we offer job alerts for a variety of positions, including clinical, medical, administrative and support jobs.
