LCSW

All, Youth SAIOP (Youth Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program)

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2001 and my Master of Social Work in 2007 from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have worked with youth and families in a variety of settings throughout the years (group homes, TDT, IH, etc.). I currently serve youth ages 12-18 that are enrolled in the Youth Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (Y-SAIOP).

I view adolescents from a trauma informed lens with a strengths-based approach.

I use various interventions to support adolescents on their journey to wellness such as Mindfulness, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy approaches, and Sandtray Therapy.
