Appropriate Reporting: When to Report to CPS and APS

Learn how to turn concern into action by making informed, effective CPS and APS referrals when it matters most.

Protecting children and vulnerable adults starts with knowing what to look for, how to ask appropriate questions and what to do next when there are red flags. 

In this training, you will:

  • -Learn when referrals should be made and when they should not be made.
  • -Review a good decision flow chart to help guide staff in making appropriate decisions about reporting
  • -Discuss patterns, documentation of those patterns, and the need to escalate a report
