Tamnequa McIntyre

My name is Tamnequa McIntyre. I completed my education at Norfolk State University, earning a Masters of Art degree in Urban Education/Community Counseling in 2010. I have provided mental health services within various community settings since 2008. I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults. Currently, as a School Counseling Intervention Program Clinician, I provide outpatient therapy for children, adolescents and teens within the school setting.

As a resident in counseling, my goal is to provide compassionate counseling in a safe environment. I specialize in providing outpatient therapy for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. I also provide therapy for individuals with an array of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, and dual diagnosis. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Theory, EMDR and aspects of play therapy.
